Orange County Pet Care Pack Dogs

How do I sign up for services with OCPC?

Email, text, or call us! We offer a complimentary meet and greet with you and your pup, and provide you with our new client paperwork to fill out and return. Please email us your updated vaccination records, as well as your rabies certificate to keep on file.

Does my dog need a temperament test before he/she joins the pack?

We require a complimentary meet and greet where we can ascertain your dog’s behavior and comfort level around other people and dogs.  We then ask that you sign up for a half day of daycare so that we can introduce your dog to the pack as well as the dog shuttle, walkers and community.

What is required before my dog can join the pack?

  • Complimentary temperament test with no signs of aggression towards other dogs or people
  • Fill-out and return New Client Worksheet and Client Agreement with proof of vaccinations
  • Minimum of four months of age and must have completed their full round of vaccinations
  • Recent and clear fecal test (within 3 weeks)
  • Spayed/neutered by one year of age
  • Free from parasites and fleas with effective flea control measures
  • Current on Rabies, Bordetella, and DHLPP vaccinations

How many training sessions should I sign up for?

Jillian likes to assess a dog’s behavior before she creates a personalized training program. She strives to give the owner all the tools needed to carry on any training she does so that you can be an active role in your dog’s success story.

Will my dog see the same dog-walker every day?

While we cannot guarantee this (sick days, vacations, etc.), we try to ensure your dog has a personal relationship with his or her walker. We like pairing your dog with the same dog-walker and pack which helps maintain good behavior and socialization. Our walkers meet up for pack-walks so that every dog under our care gets to know one another. We want our dogs to feel comfortable with new dogs, it’s a family thing!

Do I need to bring anything for my dog during their overnight stay?

Just their food and any medications they are taking. We provide comfy beds, blankets, and toys. If your pup can’t sleep without their favorite toy or blanket feel free to drop it off and we will keep it safe until bedtime.

What if my dog doesn’t get along with other dogs?

Sign up for training! Jillian loves getting your dog comfortable with other dogs. After assessing your dog’s behavior and minimizing aggression, she slowly introduces your pup to other members of our pack. Once your dog gets more comfortable, we start with smaller pack-walks and build from there.

Do you charge for pickup and dropoff?

For pack-walks and doggie daycare adventures, pickup and dropoff fees are included. During overnight stays, we charge $10-$20 for pickup and dropoff depending on distance. However, all of our overnight boarding dogs get a full day of daycare adventures included.

What are your hours of operation?

We are open 7:30am to 5:30pm from Monday through Saturday. While we are happy to board your dog over the weekend, we are closed on Sundays for walking and daycare services. We believe that by taking a day of rest we are able to better serve you and your dogs!
